Khalil Chahine guitariste et compositeur que l'on retrouve souvent dans des musiques de film, c'est un peu du jazz tranquille sur certains titres (ce n'est absolument pas péjoratif), plus orchestral sur d'autres Cela va être mon écoute pour aujourd'hui,

En tous cas, Lund Quartet, ça mérite une écoute.
"Mélangeant subtilement les respirations du jazz scandinave aux sons électroniques, les musiciens de cet ensemble instrumental originaire de Bristol exploitent à merveille les opportunités créatrices qu’offre cette approche singulière.
Aussi expérimentés les uns que les autres, ils jouent les équilibristes entre précision et improvisation, combinant la force et la souplesse d’un trio de jazz à des mélodies spécialement enregistrées puis réorchestrées électroniquement.
Lund Quartet est composé de Simon Adcock, pianiste autodidacte et joueur de thérémine, du réalisateur/producteur de hip hop Jake Wittlin aux platines, et de Rob Childs et Sam Muscat, respectivement contrebassiste et batteur, qui eux, viennent de la scène dub, ska et drum ‘n’ bass.
En 2010 ils décident de se dévouer corps et âme au Lund Quartet et investissent un local industriel pour y construire leur studio. Créé à l’aide de matériel et d’équipements récupérés auprès d’amis, ils vont y enregistrer un premier album simplement intitulé « Lund Quartet« , au jazz épuré mais mélodiquement très riche, aux atmosphères minimalistes mais intenses. Lund Quartet c’est tout ça à la fois.
A l’aise avec la technologie, leurs compositions s’articulent autour d’un groove hypnotique, auquel ils ajoutent des mélodies. Puis, le tout est découpé, samplé et rejoué grâce aux platines, créant une musique aussi imprévisible qu’étonnante."
