Lorsque JB Dunckel, moitié de Air, s’intéresse à un groupe au point de le produire, on est tenté de tendre l’oreille. Et comme la voix de la formation en question est celle de la comédienne et mannequin Alma Jodorowsky (la petite-fille d’Alejandro vue notamment dans La Vie d’Adèle), on tend doublement la même oreille ! Avec le musicien David Baudart, la chanteuse est Burning Peacocks. Une belle escapade de pop colorée et acidulée dont Love Réaction est le premier album. Une musique espiègle qui triture un peu de psychédélisme. Jongle avec de l’électronique. Fricote avec la chanson. Donne un coup d’œil dans le passé. Mais garde un pied dans le présent… Comme dans une trousse d’écolier, tout ici a une histoire ; et tout est attachant. Surtout, grâce au savoir-faire de Monsieur Air, le disque affiche une véritable identité artistique. Celle d’un duo prometteur, expert en mélodies ciselées et refrains entêtants. © CM/Qobuz
