Un petit retour du concert de Simon McBride qui a eu lieu hier soir (vendredi 28/03) au Backstage by the mill. (A coté du Moulin Rouge).
Cette (relativement) petite salle qui se prête très bien à ce genre de concert un peu intimiste, accueillait l'ex Sweet Savage, Don Airey Band, Snakecharmer et actuel guitarise de Deep Purple.
En première partie il y avait un duo français, Fools Affection qui a livré un set acoustique plutôt sympa essentiellement composé de reprises (Pour le peu que j'en ai vu).
Arrive notre irlandais accompagné de ses deux compères, Dave Marks à la basse et Marty McCloskey aux futs. (Bien je ne sois pas certain pour ce dernier ?) (c'est peut être Jon Finnigan ?)
Ça commence avec un titre de son dernier album en date (hormis le Best-of qui vient de sortir) suivi d'une excellente reprise de Free, The Stealer.
Le son est très bon, pas trop fort, le rendu des instruments est parfait.
La setList enchaine avec bonheur les compositions originales et les reprises (Ryan Adams, The Cure, Bryan Adams) ainsi que quelques extraits de morceaux de Deep Purple (Black Night, Speed King et bien entendu l'inévitable Smoke on the Water).
Mais pas de Highway Star dont le titre était régulièrement scandé par certains spectateurs
Arrive le rappel et Simon McBride nous fait chanter sur "Don't Be a Fool"
(Il a eu l’air d’apprécier "notre prestation" )
Cool c'était bien sympa, un petit concert comme on aimerait en voir plus souvent.
En plus j'ai pu bénéficier d'une invitation par GDP (merci) alors c'était royal

Filmé à Prague, en République tchèque, lors des deux dernières dates de la tournée européenne 2024, ce concert a plongé les fans dans le chaos métallique. Dès l'introduction, Sepultura déclenche l'hystérie avec "Refuse/Resist", immédiatement suivi de "Territory", un autre classique issu de l'album "Chaos A.D.", sorti en 1993.
