Tout d'abord l'annonce d'un nouveau Trio à venir .



ANNOUNCING NEW TRIO: D'VIRGILIO, MORSE & JENNINGS
Nick D’Virgilio (Big Big Train, ex-Spock’s Beard), Neal Morse (Transatlantic, NMB, ex-Spock’s Beard), and Ross Jennings (Haken, Novena) are pleased to announce the formation of their new trio D’Virgilio, Morse & Jennings.

The group has signed to InsideOutMusic for the release of their debut album ‘Troika’ in early 2022.

Recorded during lockdown, the process began with Neal Morse writing some acoustic songs that he thought would be enhanced by strong vocal harmonies. He already knew how well his voice blended with former Spock's Beard bandmate and Big Big Train drummer/ vocalist, Nick D'Virgilio, who came on board, and considering a third man, the Americans sought out Haken's Ross Jennings from the UK to complete the trio. All three found they had songs that would benefit from the three part harmonic blend, and so they pooled their resources, inputting creatively into each others' compositions.

The tracks took shape with the musicians recording all of the music and vocals separately, yet the eclectic performances burst with the energy and excitement of the collaboration. Acoustic anthems, charged rockers and sensitive ballads are all part of the mix, and the unique blend of Ross, Neal and Nick's voices and styles have created an album in which you will encounter these musicians in a way you've never heard before.

Les avis et les chroniques que j'ai vu vont dans ce sens.

Hier, il est innocemment arrivé dans ma boite aux lettres avec un peu de retard Je vais appuyer sans danger sur Play

J'ai multiplié les écoutes de ce dernier opus NMB , la barre avait été tellement haute avec les deux derniers albums conceptuels que sont The Similitude of a Dream et The Great Adventure . Il m'a fallu alors un peu plus de temps que d'ordinaire pour extraire tout jusde ce dernier double album . Innocence & Danger est un album de haute volée , le premier CD fait référence aux différentes influences des musiciens composant le combo américain , le tout à la sauce NMB . Le second CD est quant à lui rempli de deux énormes morceaux épiques qui nous montrent tout le savoir faire ce ces musiciens hors normes . Un très très grand moment de musique m'a donc été offert . Hâte de les retrouver sur scène , je l'espère , en Juin 2022 en compagnie de Mezcal et Xeod .

J'ai écouté ce dernier opus et surpris par la voix du chanteur... On dirait Jon Anderson il y a 40 ans!
Sinon l'album n'est pas désagréable mais ne me transcende pas outre mesure, un peu trop POP/ROCK!
